Dome was founded by a bipartisan group of former senior staffers from the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and the White House.

Our mission is to help professionals in public policy gain skills, acquire knowledge, discover resources, and build relationships. Dome is strictly nonpartisan. With greater resources in hand, and a wider array of ideas on the screen, each staffer can get better.

About Last Night: "A Toast on Top of the Hill"

The ideal spring weather against the backdrop of the Capitol was the perfect setting for our invited guests to meet the team at Dome Compass and each other. Nearly 150 people enjoyed a relaxing and informative evening of drinks, food, and laughs at our May 9th
event, “A Toast on Top of the Hill.”

In a survey of the attendees conducted the next day, 51 of 54 said the event was excellent. We received great feedback, here are some highlights:

"The approach and innovative way to attract key players from this region"

"Great food, drinks, and venue. There was also good diversity amongst the crowd which made conversations interesting... and diverse!"

"It was well attended by many staffers. As someone that doesn’t work on the hill but aspires too, networking with hill staffers was valuable. "

The idea was simple: host a gathering of people from all points on the political compass in an easy, friendly environment where each individual unwinds and shakes hands with new people they would otherwise never meet.

The atmosphere was perfect for drinks, hors d’oeuvres provided by Peruvian Brothers, music, and collectively exhaling from the tension that is all-too-common on the Hill. In fact, the fresh air on the rooftop combined with the idea of a new approach to connecting people without an agenda had the participants hoping that the event will be a recurring one!
